Diascia Romeo

Knobloch's has added 2 new colors of Diascia this year...

Romeo Pink:

Romeo Orange:

These Diascia are more vigorous than most and have a mounding habit which makes them perfect for hanging baskets as they will "spill" out the sides.  This semi-trailing habit is also well suited to larger containers or beds.  They will grow 8-10" tall and will be covered with delicate orange or pink flowers.

Jade Princess & Field of Dreams

Ornamental annual grasses have become a very popular accent plant in recent years.  With quite a few to choose from, they add a fun flair to containers or flower beds while giving height and dimension.  Knobloch's has 2 new grasses this year and both will stand out:

Ornamental Millet Jade Princess:

Other Millets we have had for several years are Purple Majesty and Purple Baron and both have purple leaves.  Jade Princess is a great new addition with its intense lime green leaves that really make a statement.  Its burgundy plumes are a nice contrasting accent.  Jade Princess will grow up to 36" tall and prefers Sun to Part Sun.

Zea Mays Field of Dreams:

Field of Dreams is in the Corn family so the shape of the leaves looks much like a corn plant.  However, the leaves are a very highly variegated green and white and are tinged with pink.  It will grow 36-48" tall and also likes Sun to Part Sun.  If you are lucky enough to find that it produces ears, the dark kernels can be popped!

                                                        Yesterday the twig was brown and bare;
                                                        Today the glint of green is there;
                                                        Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
                                                        I know no thing so wondrous fair,
                                                        No miracle so strangely rare.
                                                        I wonder what will next be there!"

Calibrachoa Callie, Can-Can, Noa, & Superbells

Continuing with the rest of the new Mini Trailing Petunias...

Can-Can Terra Cotta:

Noa Almond Blossom:

Noa Blue Legend:

Noa Red:

Noa Ultra Purple:

Superbells Coralberry Punch:

As with the other Mini Trailing Petunias, these will trail 18-24" which makes them ideal for hanging baskets and planters located in full to part sun.  The mini petunia flowers cover the plants all season long.

One tip for Mini Trailing Petunias (actually all Petunias for that matter)...
Each time you water, fertilize with Plant Marvel 18-6-18 (1 tsp. per gallon of water).  The water pH in our surrounding area is too high for many plants -- and all types of Petunias are at the top of the list.  By fertilizing with Plant Marvel 18-6-18, the pH of the water will be lowered to the level the plants like.  A quick and easy fix!

While we're talking about fertilizing, that's one of the most important -- and also most overlooked! -- care factor you can provide for your plants.  Don't forget...plants like to be fed just as much as we like to eat.  They're not happy on a diet either!  ;-)

There can be no other occupation like gardening in which, if you were to creep up behind someone at their work, you would find them smiling.  ~Mirabel Osler

Calibrachoa MiniFamous

Mini Trailing Petunias (scientifically known as Calibrachoa) are becoming more popular each year.  They have a nice trailing habit (18-24") that is ideal for hanging baskets and planters.  They are covered in mini petunia flowers all season long.

Knoboch's added a variety of new colors of the Mini Trailing Petunias this year!  The following are what's new in the MiniFamous series:

Apricot Red Eye:

MiniFamous iGeneration Apricot Red Eye

Lavender Blue:

MiniFamous iGeneration Lavender Blue

Peach:

MiniFamous iGeneration Peach

Pink:

MiniFamous Pink

Vampire:

MiniFamous iGeneration Vampire

And last, but certainly not least... Double Pink:

MiniFamous Double Pink evol.

Knobloch's had Double Amethyst, Double Lemon, & Double Orange last year and they were big sellers.  The double flowers are eye-catching and unique.  Double Pink is a great addition to this series.

The flowers of the MiniFamous series are considerably larger than that of other Mini Trailing Petunias.  Their excellent performance is sure to satisfy.
